Carolina Graterol

Art Work

My art practice is a multidisciplinary investigation of ideas regarding identity, otherness, diaspora, hybridity, memories and the concept of home.

Since graduating from Central St Martins, I have pursued an organic path in my art practice, linking the causes I supports, like the Saharawi refugees, with my interest in photography.
My work takes a myriad of guises: from acrylic and resin paintings, to a three dimensional mixed media paper installation, or and interactive performance, or even an outdoor  event to bring a sense of fun and community among a group of people. My goal is to achieve a sort of archaeological investigation  of identity in this postmodern world.
